Pool decks take a beating. Between the foot traffic, the splashing, the sun, and everything in between - the surface around your pool can start looking rough fast. Dirty, faded concrete doesn't exactly set the mood when you're trying to enjoy your outdoor space.

Here's what we did on this one: we started with a full concrete cleaning to strip away all the grime and buildup the surface had collected. Once that was done and everything was prepped right, we came back and applied a stain to give it a clean, uniform look - then locked it all in with a quality sealer.

The sealer is the part people often skip, and honestly it's the most important step. A good sealer protects the surface from water absorption, staining, and UV damage. It also makes future cleanups way easier. What was once just a concrete slab around a pool is now a surface that can hold up through heavy use and still look sharp doing it.

The finished deck has a smooth, even tone that ties the whole outdoor space together - from the covered pavilion and stone accents to the landscaping around the pool edge. Everything looks intentional. That's what proper prep and the right products will do for a space like this.

Whether you've got a pool deck that needs some attention or a patio that's seen better days, cleaning and sealing is one of the most straightforward ways to protect what you've already got and make it look like new again.
