This Henrico home came out looking sharp after we tackled both the roof and the siding. Homes surrounded by trees take a beating - algae, mildew, and grime build up fast when you've got that much shade and organic debris working against you. It's one of those things that sneaks up on you over time.

We ran a full house wash on the siding and a soft wash on the roof. The siding on this one is white vinyl, which shows buildup more than almost any other surface. The white pops again once it's clean - the difference is hard to miss. Same goes for the trim, the gutters, and the porch railings. All of it got the same attention.

The roof wash is where a lot of people ask questions. We don't blast the roof with high pressure - that would do more harm than good on shingles. Instead, we use a low-pressure soft wash approach with the right cleaning solution. It kills the algae at the root so it doesn't just come back in a few weeks. The roof looks clean because it actually is clean, not just rinsed off.

Houses with this kind of tree coverage tend to need cleaning more regularly than most. Moss, algae, and mildew thrive in the shade, and once they get a foothold they spread. Staying on top of it protects the roof and the siding from premature wear - it's a lot cheaper than replacing either one. A clean exterior also does a lot for how a home feels from the street.

We've done a lot of homes in the Henrico area and this is one of those results that really speaks for itself. Good bones on this house, and now the exterior matches what's clearly a well-kept property.
